BBYO is a youth movement committed to its five ideologies of Zionism, Judaism, Pluralism, Activism and Peer-Leadership. It is committed to inspiring, developing and empowering young Jewish people to build leaders who will embody and strengthen its values in the Jewish and wider community.
BBYO’s unique commitment to pluralism and peer-leadership means we strive to educate and challenge our members. We do this by equipping them with the information and skills to form their own strong Jewish and Zionist identities. Our support for the UK Task Force stems from a desire to ensure that our members engage and connect with the many complexities of Israel.
We run weekly chapter meetings in ten locations across the UK and Ireland, residential events, leadership courses, Israel Tour, a unique second timers’ tour of Israel and an amazing gap year in Israel.
‘As an active, Zionist youth movement, BBYO is committed to be working with others to uphold the state of Israel on values of democracy, equality and education for all its citizens. It is really exciting to be involved with other organisations, educating on some of the most complex issues, relating to one of the largest minorities in Israel.’

Seven British Jewish youth movements have developed an innovative new set of online resources to educate on Arab citizens of Israel, building upon previous work with the UK Task Force on e-resources tailored for each of the youth movements. The youth movements developed the resources in coordination with the UK Task Force. The project was partially funded by the Jewish Youth Fund, which also provided funding for the previous set of online resources developed several years ago.
