The Sir Charles Clore Jewish-Arab Community Center, Acre, founded in 1990, is a home for coexistence in action. It is a unique model, affirming that alternatives do exist to the ideology of separation and mistrust.
The centre is a leading force for co-existence in Acre with increasing numbers of young Arabs and Jews participating in empowerment, leadership and community development programmes and activities. The centre is based on real people facing everyday concerns and aims to impact not only the local community, but the entire region, with its achievable message of peace and hope.
Its activities are focused on: early childhood development, extracurricular activities/informal education, Arab and Jewish women; and community projects.
