Toni has been engaged with issues of conflict resolution, cross-communal and inter-communal dialogue for over 15 years. Previously at UJIA where she worked in its Israel Experience department for 7 years, most recently as the Education Manager, she has worked with young people in educational and social action programmes since growing up in the youth movement RSY-Netzer. She holds an MSc in Middle East Politics at SOAS.
Dr. Betty Benbenisti
Betty Benbenisti is an experienced social change campaigner, having worked with leading charities and think-tanks in Israel including the Van Leer Institute in Jerusalem, Shatil – the New Israel Fund initiative for social change, Sikkuy, and Sister–for Women in Israel. Her PhD from Tel Aviv University focused on social activism and the use of social media. She has taught communication courses at The Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yaffo and at University of East London.
Idit comes from the Israeli third sector, where she was engaged in developing educational and social initiatives. In recent years she worked for the Mandel School for Educational Leadership, where she led pedagogical and strategic processes. Previously she set up a collaborative project that brought together social organisations and university faculties to encourage student social activism. She is also a board member of Hillel, an Israeli NGO supporting young adults who have left the Jewish ultra-Orthodox world. She studied political science at Tel Aviv University and her MA thesis from IDC Herzliya examined consultative mechanisms in the Israeli government.
